Janice M. Wiseman
Director of Visitor Services

Janice M. Wiseman joined the Preservation Society in 1994, and was appointed Director of Visitor Services in 2000, supervising more than 150 employees who provide more than 40,000 tours of the Society’s properties annually.  She co-directed the creation of the audio tours at The Elms and Marble House.

Janice graduated from the University of Louisville with degrees in accounting and history.

She is a member of the Redwood Library, Fort Adams Trust, Gilbert Stuart Museum, Colonial Williamsburg, the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the American Association of Museums.  In her spare time, Janice volunteers as an adult literacy tutor and is an avid reader.
